Great article. I think many leaders in the church today are attempting to lead their congregations with “leadership skills” they have gleaned from those with a worldly perspective. It is truly refreshing (and convicting!) to note as you did that “spiritual leadership is not spiritual at all unless God is leading the leader.”
Thank you for reading and for the insightful comments. Yes, we need the Spirit to be spiritual leaders, allowing Him to be the filter for any and all “leadership skills.” Blessings!
Great Blog on leadership! Learning to follow is the first, middle, and last step of learning to lead. Royal Rangers accomplish this in many ways. We appreciate your example in this area.
Thank you, friend! When we learn to follow effectively, leading gets better. Appreciate your comment and taking the time to read my posts!
Absolutely well written and spoken truth … true leaders will lead others as Gods presence lingers on them from well spent time seeking His plans and purpose.
Thank you for reading! Yes, I agree. We, as spiritual leaders, must linger in God’s Presence. A.W. Tozer said it best: “We must practice the art of long and loving meditation upon the majesty of our God.”
